Overview

While for the most part the chapter's members have been in Israel for many years and speak Hebrew quite well, they enjoy spending leisure time and working towards a common goal with other English-speakers from similar backgrounds.

Social activities

General meetings with programming are held four to six times a year. We sponsor programs providing information on the latest developments in medicine, with the participation of Hadassah's physicians and researchers. We plan a wide variety of entertaining social events to enjoy each other's company and deepen friendships, and participate in Hadassah-Israel's national conferences and Mediscope programs.

Fundraising

We place importance on fundraising to help support the Hadassah Medical Organization's important, impressive, and innovative work that advances medical care. We organize several fundraising events during the year.

Volunteering

Some members are active volunteers in the clinical departments of Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital. A unique program, "Project Aynat" (now in its eighth year), is a project sponsored in conjunction with members of Congregation Ramot Zion in French Hill; the project provides a weekly "moadon" (clubhouse) for patients hospitalized in Hadassah's Department of Rehabilitation as well as for their families. New volunteers are always welcome.
