Each year Hadassah-Israel chooses an innovative program at Hadassah Medical Organization as its National Project. Hadassah-Israel members from Carmiel in the North to Beer Sheva in the South take upon themselves to work and raise funds and awareness for this project. Thereby the Hadassah-Israel volunteers take part in making Hadassah Hospital an outstanding international medical institution.

This year Hadassah-Israel will support the Gandel Rehabilitation Center at Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus by purchasing two state-of-the-art training devices for patients with leg injuries and amputations that will play a crucial role in rehabilitation, mobility enhancement, and improving overall quality of life.
The The THERA-Trainer Balo device can be fit to secure the patient’s feet, legs and pelvis in almost any position, depending on the
training goal. It can be adjusted and personalized for the different needs of severely affected patients who cannot stand independently. By integrating THERA-soft therapy software, this system can also train postural control with computer and sensor-assisted balance features.
